Welcome to Seattle Cabins, a unique property located within the
Seattle city limits, with convenient access to the amenities,
infrastructure, and medical centers of this metropolis on Puget Sound,
yet at the same time offering the respite of private cabins on
a unique wooded oasis, surrounded by rhododendrens and tall Douglas
fir, Western red cedar, and Big Leaf maple trees.
The cabins are offered as
extended-stay rentals, tailored to the needs of travelling nurses or
anyone requiring housing in the Seattle area for more than a month but
less than the term of a typical residential lease. Each is
furnished and tastefully decorated, and includes a full kitchen or
kitchenette. In addition, each cabin on the property has its
own address, mailbox, and parking space. Situated in the Lake
City/Olympic Hills neighborhood of Seattle on 30th Avenue N.E. (see map
here),
the cabins are steps away from the no. 65 bus line with service to
Children's Hospital, the University of Washington, and points beyond,
and nearby is the 522 express bus to downtown Seattle. UW Medical Center Northwest is a quick commute. Shopping,
restaurants, post office, and the Seattle Public Library are all within
walking distance.
Dating from the 1930s and 1940s, the cabins have retained the forested
ambiance of the property, while the city of Seattle has grown up around
them. They share a common lawn area with a picnic table, and in the
warmer months there is a barbeque for tenants' use. Your hosts, Marian
and Mike, have preserved the cabins and enhanced their original charm
with tasteful upgrades.
